- HOW TO USE PRIMOPDF TO CONVERTING FILES FROM PDF INSTALL
If you have MS Office 2007 or later installed on your computer, you can transfer your PDF files to DOCX format for this purpose. Sometimes you might need to convert your PDF files to a format which will allow you to edit them.
HOW TO USE PRIMOPDF TO CONVERTING FILES FROM PDF INSTALL
Step 1: Download and install Soft4Boost Document Converter. Thanks for giving me the week from Microsoft ****. This is about intentionally screwing up the dpi for everyone's documents when you press "save." I really just don't understand why one would make these very poor programming choices that gain nothing and create problems. This is about a simple setting that Microsoft could change if they wanted to. This isn't about the power of the program or the operating system. I know everyone keeps telling me, "This is why designers use Macs." But I'm confused. Ideally the printer shouldn't have to crop the page at all and the edges should be exactlyĪs the designer made them. It looked closer to the correct paper size but it made it impossible for the printer to crop the page correctly. My previous idea of scaling did not work. Now I'm waiting for a physical proof and we'll see. I submitted the document for a proof print. But on screen and with zooming in I haven't been able to determine which images may be low dpi, so The printer also says that some of the images have dpi below 200, although they were all put into Word at greater than 300 dpi.
This results in edges that are not perfectly cropped the way I had them in Word but it is marginally tolerable, simply unprofessional looking (like one wouldĮxpect from Microsoft Word). The document to the printer and worked with them to accept the incorrect paper size and modify it. It does however appear that it MIGHT preserve the dpi. That's why I'm asking because that method results in a pdf that is 8.5 by 11 with the small picture in the upper middle. POD printing company will have this problem, it seems like there must be a solution somewhere. I'm very confused as to why this is such a big problem still, given that every person who goes to a I have also read of the same problem with Acrobat Professional. I would purchase a specific program for this but I have read that MS Word 2010 is worse in this regard and doesn't evenĪllow for what I'm doing and will save the illustrations in poor quality from the beginning. I want to convert the document as is to pdf with NO changes whatsoever. I need an option where BOTH dpi and page size can be preserved.
Size is always changed back to 8.5 by 11, no matter how many options are changed to the custom option or scaled to the custom option. I have installed several different pdf creators, including PrimoPDF, and I can use the "print to pdf" option in Word and with a lot of resetting again the dpi can be preserved but in this case the paper I have read many articles on the subject and theĬonsensus seems to be that Word doesn't allow for it. There appears to be no way to change this. I can with many resets of options keep the paper size intact, however the dpi is reset ridiculously low to less than 100 dpi and it is very poor quality in printing. All page size, paper size and other settings are set to 5.5 by 8.5, a custom format required by a POD printing company. I have to convert the doc file to pdf. I have a publishing document formatted in Word 2007 with illustrations.
